In April, Aluminerie Alouette became the first aluminum smelter in Quebec to be awarded the highest level of the new ICI on recycle + program. By reaching the Elite level, the Côte-Nord company also stands out among all the organizations in its region.

The certificate awarded by RECYC-QUÉBEC "reflects the efforts made for a responsible residual materials management", underlines the organization in the official confirmation. Aluminerie Alouette has been a member of the program since 2008 and has not stopped progressing since, taking the recognition steps one by one.

The performance certificate, valid for a period of three years, confirms that the whole team is still aiming for nothing less than excellence in the management of residual materials. A large number of initiatives across all industries and employee adherence to best practices can reduce the burial of materials of all kinds. The reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery are an integral part of the activities on site.
